The i3mainz supports the research and prototypical development of a modular construction robot.

Motivation

With the support of i3mainz, the specialist painting company maler Siedler wants to digitise and automate the previously manual sanding and spraying process of interior walls and ceilings. The aim of the cooperation project is the research and prototypical development of a modular construction robot.

The project is funded by the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM). This is a funding programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The aim of ZIM is to strengthen the innovative power and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Research institutions and SMEs can apply for grants for ambitious research and development projects that lead to technological innovations with good market opportunities.
